![]() Friday, May 30, 2014 Montreal Gateway Terminals launches Navis 4 TOSMontreal Gateway Terminals at the Port of Montreal recently deployed the Navis N4 terminal operating system at the container terminal, with an eye toward improving terminal productivity and service delivery, according to a Navis statement. MGT upgraded from Navis' SPARCS and an internally developed data host system to N4, Navis' latest TOS. Navis said N4 lets customers to run operations spanning different locations from a single terminal managed from one central location. The company said TOS is designed to optimize terminal efficiency, and facilitate ongoing logistics innovations, while providing a secure environment. MGT has an annual cargo capacity in excess of 1.8 million TEUs and services all aspects of terminal operations, including ship, gate and rail operations. "MGT's migration to N4 demonstrates our focus on providing customers with the highest level of service. This is one of a series of technical and operational implementations in the planning or execution stages," said MGT CEO Michael Fratianni. "The system roll-out was a flawless success in terms of system performance, stability and user acceptance."
